Insecurity Worsening Pains of the North — ACF
KADUNA — The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has lamented the worsening impact of banditry, kidnappings, and other forms of criminality in Northern Nigeria, saying the scourge has left families bereaved and communities devastated.
Speaking at the Forum’s 78th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Wednesday at its secretariat in Kaduna, ACF Chairman, Chief Mamman Osuman (SAN), expressed deep concern that the North continues to lose lives daily to “evil criminals, psychopaths, gangsters, bandits, marauders, and terrorists,” in addition to natural disasters.
“This is an uncommon and trouble-ridden time when politics, unimaginable vicissitudes, treachery, crimes, and environmental disasters are devastating our people. We have lost children, middle-aged men and women, and the aged — not only to natural causes, floods, and drowning, but also to evil criminals,” Osuman stated.
The ACF called for urgent, coordinated action to restore peace and security across the region.
