Nigerian Army relocates Special Forces school to Nasarawa State

The Nigerian Army has announced the relocation of its Special Forces Training School from Buni Yadi in Yobe State to Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, made this known during the foundation-laying ceremony and inauguration of new projects at the 4 Special Forces Command in Doma.

According to Oluyede, the move is aimed at enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Special Forces and ensuring better access to logistics and training facilities in order to tackle emerging security challenges in the country.

He noted that the establishment of the training school in Nasarawa would also boost security in the North-Central region and contribute to ongoing efforts to improve national peace and stability.

The Army Chief reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army to safeguarding lives and property, stressing that the relocation of the training school is a strategic decision designed to strengthen the country’s overall security architecture.

Oluyede also used the occasion to commend officers and men of the Special Forces for their dedication and sacrifice in the fight against insurgency, banditry, and other criminal activities across the country.
