Troops Kill Scores of Terrorists, Arrest 15, Rescue Kidnap Victims Nationwide

Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralized scores of terrorists and arrested 15 others during a series of coordinated operations across the country.

A top military source disclosed to Nigeria TV Info late Monday night that the operations, conducted between August 29 and 31, also led to the rescue of 15 kidnap victims.

According to the source, troops recovered a large cache of high-calibre weapons, ammunition, explosives, and illegally refined petroleum products.

In the Northwest, troops of the 17 Brigade in Katsina State and the 1 Brigade Combat Team in Zamfara State successfully rescued 12 kidnap victims from terrorist captivity.

Similarly, troops in the Northcentral and Southeast carried out successful rescue missions. Operation Whirl Stroke troops in Nasarawa State and the 34 Artillery Brigade in Imo State rescued three kidnap victims during raids on terrorist hideouts.
