Photographers Urge FG to Recognise Their Profession

ABUJA — Nigerian photographers have appealed to the Federal Government to formally recognise and support their profession, highlighting the critical role photography and videography play in documenting the nation’s history.

During a recent gathering of media professionals, photographers emphasized that without their work, there would be no visual record of important national events, achievements, or milestones. They urged the government to create policies and initiatives that would promote the growth of the photography and videography sectors, ensuring that professionals in the field are adequately supported.
