U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could almost immediately end the conflict with Russia if he gave up claims on Crimea and Ukraine’s NATO ambitions.

“President Zelensky can end the war with Russia right away if he wishes, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it all began. Crimea was taken without a single shot fired 12 years ago, and Ukraine did not enter NATO. Some things never change!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He also emphasized that Monday would be a “big day” for the White House, noting he had never before gathered so many European leaders at once.
