The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted rain and thunderstorms across several parts of the country between Sunday and Tuesday.

In its weather outlook released on Saturday in Abuja, NiMet said that moderate rainfall is expected on Sunday morning over parts of Jigawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states.

Later in the day, thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rains are also forecast over parts of Zamfara, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Bauchi, Gombe, Sokoto, Kebbi, Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Taraba states.

NiMet advised residents in the affected states to take necessary precautions and stay informed about weather updates during the forecast period.
