FIRS, Customs Partner to Advance National Single Window Project

The Federal Government’s efforts to streamline trade facilitation operations have received a significant boost as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) intensify collaboration on the National Single Window (NSW) project.

The NSW is a landmark trade facilitation initiative designed to revolutionise Nigeria’s import and export processes, enhance revenue generation, and strengthen the nation’s competitiveness in the global market.

During a high-level meeting at the NCS Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, senior officials from both agencies reviewed progress on the project and agreed on concrete steps to fast-track system integration. The agencies aim to ensure readiness ahead of the project’s scheduled launch in the first quarter of 2026.

The move underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology and inter-agency cooperation to boost trade efficiency and economic growth.
