The Air Component of the Joint Task Force, Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY), has recorded another major success with precision airstrikes targeting terrorists gathered for a wedding ceremony at the foot of Asola Hills in Yankuzo Ward, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to the Nigerian Army, the operation was based on credible intelligence and targeted a large number of terrorists believed to have come from the Faskari and Kankara axes of Katsina State, as well as various locations across Zamfara State.

The airstrike resulted in the neutralisation of several terrorists, while many others reportedly sustained severe injuries.
