Nigeria TV Info – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rewarded Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, following their remarkable triumph at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship.

Each player of the victorious squad will receive a cash reward of $100,000, a flat, and the prestigious Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) national honour.

The announcement was made by Vice President Kashim Shettima on Monday evening during a special reception in honour of the team, held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.

Coaching and technical crew members were not left out, as they were each awarded $50,000, a three-bedroom flat, and were also conferred with the OON title.
