Amusan Triumphs in Women’s 100m Hurdles at Paris Diamond League

Nigerian sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan continued her impressive 2026 campaign by winning the women's 100m hurdles at the Paris Diamond League, reaffirming her status as one of the world's leading athletes in the event.

Competing at the Stade Charléty in Paris, the world record holder equalled her season's best time of 12.28 seconds, finishing comfortably ahead of a strong international field. American hurdler Grace Stark claimed second place in 12.38 seconds, while fellow American Alaysha Johnson finished third in 12.39 seconds.

The victory marks another significant milestone for Amusan, who has displayed remarkable consistency throughout the Diamond League season. Having already matched the 12.28-second mark earlier this year, her latest performance strengthens her preparations for upcoming global athletics championships and reinforces her position among the favourites for major titles.

Amusan's dominance in Paris also adds valuable Diamond League points as she pursues qualification for the series final. Her speed, technique, and flawless hurdle execution once again demonstrated why she remains the women's 100m hurdles world record holder and one of Nigeria's greatest athletics stars.
