Nigeria TV Info â Residents of Manchok in Moroâa Chiefdom, Kaura Local Government Area of Southern Kaduna State, are appealing for urgent assistance from both the federal and state governments after severe flooding ravaged their community.
The floods, triggered by three days of heavy rainfall, have destroyed homes, farmlands, and plantations, leaving many residents stranded and uncertain about their next steps.
Farmer Luka Ishaya revealed that his entire livelihood had been wiped out. âThe incessant rains, instead of benefiting us, have brought devastation. It is really sad,â he lamented.
Youth leader Moses Mathew noted that the situation could have been better managed if the community drains were functional. He added that young people in Manchok have taken matters into their own hands by clearing blocked drains and digging temporary channels while awaiting government intervention.
Although no lives were lost, the people of Manchok continue to grapple with the aftermath of the flooding.
