INEC Chairman Amupitan Vows to Confront Election Logistics Challenges Head-On

Newly confirmed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Rhoda Amupitan, has pledged to decisively tackle the perennial logistical challenges that have marred Nigeria’s electoral processes. Speaking at her first media briefing in Abuja on Thursday, Amupitan assured Nigerians that her administration would introduce robust reforms to ensure prompt deployment of election materials, improved staff training, and efficient technology-driven operations.

She emphasized that restoring public confidence in the commission remains her top priority. “We cannot afford the recurrent delays, mix-ups, and distribution failures that have undermined previous elections,” Amupitan said.
