House of Reps Shifts Resumption to October 7

The House of Representatives has postponed its resumption from recess to October 7, 2025. Lawmakers were initially scheduled to reconvene on September 24, but the leadership announced the extension to allow committees more time to conclude oversight duties and finalize pending reports. The decision is also expected to give members ample time to prepare for deliberations on key national issues, including the 2026 budget, security challenges, and pending bills.
