Israel Vows ‘Biblical Plagues’ on Yemen’s Huthi Rebels

Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, on Thursday vowed to unleash what he described as the “biblical 10 plagues of Egypt” on Yemen’s Huthi rebels, following renewed missile attacks on Israel.

In a post on his official X handle, Katz declared:

> “The Huthis are firing missiles at Israel again. A plague of darkness, a plague of the firstborn — we will complete all 10 plagues.”

The warning comes after the Iran-backed Huthi movement intensified cross-border attacks targeting Israel in recent weeks, escalating tensions in the already volatile Middle East.

The Huthis, who control large swathes of Yemen, have previously launched missile and drone strikes in support of Hamas amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Israel has vowed to respond firmly to any threat, with Katz’s statement signaling a dramatic escalation in rhetoric.
