Four Killed in 15-Hour Gun Battle Between Police and Hoodlums in Anambra

Four suspected members of a secessionist group have been killed in a 15-hour gun duel with the Police in Awa, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The spokesperson of the Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Friday. He said one victim, who had earlier been kidnapped and held hostage in the hoodlums’ camp, was successfully rescued during the operation.

According to Ikenga, the joint team of police operatives and local vigilante groups dislodged the camp and recovered several dangerous items used by the suspects.
