Tinubu Embarks on Two-Day State Visit to Brazil to Boost Trade and Investment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commenced a two-day state visit to Brazil at the invitation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding trade opportunities between the two nations.

During the visit, key agreements are expected to be signed between Nigeria and Brazil, including deals to establish direct flights, which will enhance connectivity and stimulate massive investments in the livestock sector.

In addition to aviation and livestock collaborations, the visit will pave the way for the launch of the Green Imperative Partnership (GIP). This initiative is projected to create at least 100,000 direct jobs and over five million indirect jobs across various agricultural sectors, contributing significantly to economic growth and employment generation in Nigeria.

Highlighting the potential impact of the visit, President Tinubu emphasized that “a South-South synergy will generate investments and millions of jobs,” reinforcing the commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation in trade and sustainable development.
