NDLEA Destroys 75,544kg of Skunk in Edo, Delta, Ondo, Taraba Forests

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the destruction of 75,544 kilograms of skunk in a series of operations conducted across forests in Edo, Delta, Ondo, and Taraba States.

The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Mr. Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.

Babafemi explained that the operations were part of the NDLEA’s intensified efforts to curb the cultivation and trafficking of illicit substances within the country. He added that the raids were targeted at remote forest areas where drug cartels operate illegally.

The NDLEA said the success of the operation underscores its determination to cut off drug supply networks and protect communities from the harmful effects of illicit drug use.
