The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has warned that persistent policy instability is discouraging critical investment in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Mr. Festus Osifo, President of PENGASSAN, raised the concern on Wednesday at the opening of the 4th Petroleum and Energy Advancement and Leadership Summit (PEALS 2025), held in Abuja.
With the theme “Building a Resilient Oil and Gas Sector in Nigeria,” the summit brought together key industry stakeholders to discuss challenges facing the sector and strategies to ensure long-term growth.
Osifo emphasized that without clear, consistent, and investor-friendly policies, the oil and gas industry may struggle to attract the level of capital needed to drive development and maintain Nigeria’s position in the global energy market.
