FG to arraign five suspects in connection with Owo Catholic Church attack

The Federal Government is set to arraign five suspected terrorists accused of the deadly attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, which occurred on June 5, 2022. The attack resulted in the tragic loss of many worshippers.

The suspects will face trial before Justice Emeka Nwite at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Escorted into the courtroom by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) at approximately 9:05 a.m., the accused are Idris Omeiza, Al Qasim Idris, Jamiu Abdulmalik, Abdulhaleem Idris, and Momoh Otuho Abubakar.

The arraignment marks a significant step in the government’s effort to bring justice to the victims of the Owo church attack.
