Several residents, particularly children, have been declared missing after a devastating flood swept through parts of Adamawa State following over six hours of intense rainfall on Sunday.
The heavy downpour, which started in the early hours of the day, triggered flash floods that destroyed homes, uprooted families, and left entire communities in distress.
According to accounts from victims, more than 600 houses were washed away by the powerful floodwaters. Many survivors spoke of their narrow escape, saying they were separated from family members in the chaos.
