Nigeria TV Info Trump Claims Iran Deal Reached, Tehran Says No “Final Decision”

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Washington and Tehran are close to finalizing a major agreement aimed at easing tensions and advancing peace talks. Trump claimed that key elements of the deal had already been approved and suggested that a formal signing could take place in Europe within days.

However, Iranian officials quickly pushed back against the claim. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, stated that no final decision has been made and that reports about the timing or location of a signing are premature. According to Tehran, while negotiations have made progress and much of the text has been discussed, several critical issues remain unresolved.

The proposed agreement is reportedly linked to efforts to stabilize the region, maintain a ceasefire, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and create a framework for further negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. Sources involved in the talks say discussions have narrowed differences between the two sides, but final approval from Iran’s leadership has not yet been secured.

The conflicting statements highlight the fragile nature of the ongoing negotiations. While Trump has repeatedly expressed optimism that a breakthrough is imminent, Iranian officials insist that several “red line” issues must still be resolved before any agreement can be finalized.

Diplomatic efforts involving regional and international mediators are expected to continue in the coming days as both sides seek to bridge the remaining gaps and avoid further escalation in the Middle East.
