Panic in Abuja Suburb Schools as Parents Withdraw Children Over Abduction Scare

There was widespread panic on Thursday across several schools in the Gbagalape and Nyanya axis of Abuja suburbs after reports of a suspected abduction scare triggered fear among parents and school authorities.

The alarm, which reportedly spread rapidly through social media and community networks, led many parents to rush to schools to pick up their children before official clarification was issued. Some schools were forced to dismiss pupils early as tension escalated in the area.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command later dismissed the abduction claims after preliminary investigations, confirming that no kidnapping incident took place.
