Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointments, Names CAC Chairman, Seven Commissioners
Abuja, Nigeria â President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a new round of key federal appointments, naming a new chairman for the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and nominating seven commissioners for the National Population Commission (NPC).
According to an official statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President appointed former senator Ibrahim Ida as Chairman of the CAC. The appointment is seen as part of efforts to strengthen corporate regulation and improve the efficiency of Nigeriaâs business environment.
The CAC is the government agency responsible for regulating the formation and management of companies in Nigeria, playing a critical role in the countryâs economic framework.
In the same development, President Tinubu nominated seven individuals as federal commissioners to fill existing vacancies at the NPC. The nominees are expected to undergo confirmation by the National Assembly before assuming office.
