INEC Promises Credible FCT, Osun Polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerians of its readiness to conduct free, fair and credible elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Osun State. The commission said all logistics, security arrangements and electoral materials have been put in place to ensure transparent polls.

INEC chairman, while addressing stakeholders, stressed that trained ad hoc staff would be deployed, voting materials delivered early, and security agencies fully engaged to prevent violence or malpractice. He urged political parties and voters to play by the rules, shun hate speech and avoid actions capable of undermining the credibility of the elections.

The commission also appealed to voters to come out peacefully and exercise their civic rights, assuring that every valid vote would count.
