Diri, Yahaya Present N998b, N536b 2026 Budget Proposals to Bayelsa and Gombe Assemblies

Governors Douye Diri of Bayelsa and Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe on Thursday presented their respective 2026 budget proposals to their state Houses of Assembly, signaling plans for developmental projects and fiscal management in the coming year.

Governor Diri proposed a N998 billion budget for Bayelsa, highlighting allocations for infrastructure, healthcare, education, and security. He emphasized prudent resource management to drive sustainable development and improve citizens’ welfare.

Meanwhile, Governor Yahaya submitted a N536 billion 2026 budget proposal for Gombe State, underlining the administration’s commitment to economic growth, social services, and infrastructural expansion. He assured lawmakers of transparent budget implementation and accountability.

Both state assemblies are expected to review, debate, and approve the budgets in the coming weeks to ensure timely commencement of projects and programmes aligned with their respective visions.
