Washington, USA — Tens of thousands of demonstrators flooded the streets across the United States and Europe over the weekend in a wave of coordinated protests condemning what they describe as President Donald Trump’s “authoritarian rule.”

The demonstrations, organized under the banner “No Kings,” took place in over 2,600 locations across major U.S. cities including Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Portland. Protesters accused the Trump administration of undermining democratic institutions through controversial policies — among them, efforts to challenge birthright citizenship and intensify immigration raids.

Organizers said the rallies symbolized public resistance to what they viewed as attempts to “turn the presidency into a monarchy.” Marchers held placards and chanted slogans denouncing what they referred to as “fascist rule” and calling for the protection of American democracy.

The White House dismissed the demonstrations, branding them a “hate America” event.

Debbie Rosenman, a protester from Michigan, countered the claim:

> “We are here today for ‘No Kings 2.0.’ Things have gotten worse in our country. We are taking to the streets. This is not a ‘Hate America’ rally. This is a ‘Love America’ rally.”

The “No Kings” movement, now in its second year, also sparked solidarity protests across Europe. Hundreds gathered in Berlin, Madrid, Lisbon, and Paris, criticizing President Trump for what they described as weakening the United States’ influence on the global stage.

Analysts say the growing transatlantic support reflects mounting international concern over America’s democratic trajectory under Trump’s renewed leadership.
