Abia 2027: Those Planning to Rig Should Write Their Wills – Governor Otti Warns Political Opponents

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has issued a stern warning to politicians and electoral manipulators ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that anyone planning to rig the polls should “write their wills.” Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting in Umuahia, Otti vowed that his administration will not allow any form of electoral malpractice in the state. He said his government is determined to protect democracy and ensure that the will of the people prevails.
The governor also called on security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain neutral and professional in discharging their duties. Otti added that Abia has moved beyond the era of electoral violence and ballot snatching, stressing that the people will resist any attempt to subvert their mandate.
