Igboho Seeks Ladoja’s Intervention as FG Freezes Bank Accounts
Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has turned to former Oyo State governor, Rashidi Ladoja, for intervention after the Federal Government reportedly froze his bank accounts.
According to sources close to the activist, Igboho lamented that the freeze has crippled his finances, making it difficult for him to meet personal and movement-related obligations. He is said to have appealed to Ladoja, a respected elder statesman in Oyo politics, to help mediate with the government to resolve the issue.
The development comes amid renewed scrutiny of separatist movements across the country. Analysts believe Igboho’s outreach to Ladoja signals his bid to seek reconciliation through dialogue rather than confrontation.
The Federal Government has not yet issued an official statement regarding the freeze or Igboho’s appeal. However, political watchers say the move may further test the relationship between Yoruba leaders and the centre, as the calls for regional autonomy continue to gain momentum.
