Nigeria TV Info — Denmark Faces Hybrid Drone Attacks, Shuts Multiple Airports

Denmark has shut down several airports, including Aalborg and Billund, after a series of drone incursions disrupted national airspace for the second time in less than a week. Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen described the incidents as a “systematic hybrid attack” carried out by a professional actor, though he stressed there was no evidence directly linking Russia, despite growing NATO concerns. The Kremlin dismissed the suspicions as “absurd provocations,” while Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen labelled the event Denmark’s most serious infrastructure attack to date.

According to Nigeria TV Info, the wave of unprecedented drone activity forced the closure of five airports — Aalborg, Billund, Esbjerg, Sønderborg, and Skrydstrup — late Wednesday into early Thursday, leaving flights diverted and passengers stranded. This marked the second major disruption in under a week.

Authorities reported that drones with green lights were first spotted over Aalborg airport at about 21:44 local time, with additional sightings quickly emerging from other airports further south. Within hours, Billund, Denmark’s second-busiest international airport, was also shut down temporarily. Police later confirmed that both Aalborg and Skrydstrup, which also serve as military airbases, were directly affected, highlighting the potential threat to Denmark’s armed forces.
