Six Rescued as Two-Storey Building Collapses in Alimosho, Lagos

On the evening of Wednesday, September 24, 2025, a two-storey building collapsed at 4 Modupeola Street, near Mangoro Bus Stop in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m., trapping several individuals under the rubble.

Emergency responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other first responders swiftly arrived at the scene. They successfully rescued six individuals, including a 44-year-old man who had been trapped beneath the debris. The trapped victim sustained fractures and bruises and was promptly transported to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Surgical Emergency unit, where he was admitted in stable condition. The five other rescued victims were taken to a nearby private hospital for medical care .
