Benin City — Former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Parry Osayande, has passed away just hours before marking his 89th birthday.

Osayande died on Sunday in Benin City, Edo State, according to a condolence message released by the President of the Immaculate Conception College Old Boys’ Association (ICCOBA) Worldwide, Engr. Ighodalo Edetanlen.

The late Osayande was widely respected for his years of service in the Nigeria Police Force and his contributions to national security.
